Who is your favorite character in the Christmas story?
As we look forward to the promise of Jesus’ return, we face both TEMPTATION and an interesting TENSION.
The Temptation:
Believing Jesus is Not Coming Back. 2 Pet 3:3-7
What are scoffers choosing to ignore?
GOD is our Maker and also our Judge.
The Tension:
I am Engaged to Jesus and can’t wait for the “wedding”!
There are people I care about who haven’t yet accepted Jesus' Proposal.
Three Questions:
- “What kind of PEOPLE ought we to be?
- ”We ought to live holy and godly lives as we look forward to the day of God and Speed it's coming.
- “How is your UNION with God?”
- “Is it really possible to SPEED UP Jesus’ coming?”
Next Steps:
- Make sure Ihave peace with God through Jesus.
- Resist the scoffers by holding onto God’s promises.
- Pursue union with God by ______________________________________.
- Join Cornerstone’s “Journey through the New Testament” by committing to read 5 chapters/week throughout 2021.
