What will it be like when I experience resurrection? 1 Corinthians 15:42-44
My current body (a seed):
- Perishable
- Dishonor
- Weakness
- Natural
My resurrected body: (a plant)
- Imperishable
- Glory
- Power
- Spiritual
Jesus’ resurrected body is the prototype for what our resurrected body will be like!
What was Jesus’ resurrected body like?
- It was recognizable but not identical to His pre-resurrected body
- It had new abilities HIs pre-resurrection body didn’t have
- Jesus still had marks to remember the journey.
- Jesus still ate food in His resurrected body.
Not everyone will experience a resurrection like Jesus. All of us are of Adam, but not all of us are of Christ.
Accept the reality that my sin separates me from a Holy God.
Confess my sin to God, asking forgiveness through Jesus.
Trust in Jesus, that His blood cleanses me and gives me free and welcome access into the presence of God.
