What about Esau? What about us?
Next Steps:
– Repent of my jealous/comparison mindset (get specific with God about this) and ask God to help me accept who He made me am where He put me.
– Write a letter to God thanking Him for making me who I am, and for putting me where He put – Learn more about who I am by taking a spiritual gifts inventory or by experimenting with different ways to serve God’s Kingdom. (Ask PNate about this if you’re interested.)
– Write my own statement that parallels Esau’s in Genesis 36:2. What would my life be like if I went my own way? What is a next step I can take so that statement does NOT become my legacy?
