I was born this way!
It’s not genetic. We’re ALL born in sin Romans 3:23, 6:23
10% of the population is gay so it must be ok.
Reality: About 2% is gay
Leviticus 18:22 – God forbids many kinds of sexual sin
100% have lied, it’s still not right
It’s who I am! I can’t change.
I can’t help it.
It’s WHAT I do.
1 Corinthians 6:18-20 – God commands us to flee
Proverbs 3:5-6 God can help us!
It’s normal and natural. We can still be a family. All we need is love!
Genesis 1:26-28 The family was God’s plan. Kids need a mom & dad.
It’s an alternative lifestyle. God is all for love.
It’s a destructive lifestyle.
Genesis 2:22-25
Once gay always gay. Its unloving to try to change
God can deliver and change me 1 Corinthians 6:9-11
It’s a civil rights issue
It’s a moral issue
All Christians are homophobic
We owe them an apology
How does God view gay people? He loves them and sent His son to pay the penalty for all their sins. John 3:16
Why would God restrict certain activities? He loves us enough to protect us from Harm
How can I know what is really best for me? Read God’s owners manual.
What happens if I ignore my creator’s directions? Suffering and hurt.
Is there any hope if I have lived outside God’s plan? Christ died to bring us back to God. 1 Peter 3:18
What happens to my guilt? Christ takes our guilt and gives us His righteousness 2 Corinthians 5:21
My next step with God is to…
Ask God for sensitivity, understanding and love for people in the gay community.
Consider who you might know that is part of this community.
Seek to appreciate their good contributions to society.
remember that their sin is no greater than my own!
Offer forgiveness in Christ if they will trust Him to forgive and lead them.
