A principle to help me find peace in a messed up world:  Attention drives emotion

 When overwhelmed with life…
…we can look Around
“I envied the arrogant when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.” V3
 …we can look within
“Surely in vain have I kept my heart pure; in vain have I washed my hands in innocence.” V13
…we can look up
“Whom have I in heaven but You?  And earth has nothing I desire besides You.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”  V25-26
 

 In Christ, we have a treasure that this world cannot match and death cannot take away.

My NEXT STEP with God  is to…

…consider which part of Psalm 73 I am dwelling in. Am I consumed with THEM, I or HIM (GOD)?
…begin a relationship with God through Jesus. Talk with someone about this before you leave today!
…memorize Psalm 73:26 “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
